2025 PUPR Ministry Targets 34 KPBU Projects Worth IDR 168 Trillion

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), through the Directorate General of Public Works and Housing Infrastructure Financing (DJPI), is continuously expanding the scope of infrastructure development financing through the Government-Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme.

The Director General of Infrastructure Financing at the PUPR Ministry, Triono Junoasmono, stated that next year the PUPR Ministry through the DJPI is targeting 34 PUPR projects to be carried out using the KPBU scheme. This includes 14 water resources projects, 10 road and bridge projects, 7 settlement projects, and 3 housing projects.

Triono explained that in the water resources sector, there are 3 projects in the preparation stage with an estimated investment value of Rp10.78 trillion. These include the development of the Jambo Aye irrigation area in North Aceh and East Aceh, the Lambakan dam in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, and the Cidanau dam in Serang Regency, Banten.

Meanwhile, 12 projects worth Rp32.11 trillion are already in the transaction stage. These include the Bodri dam in Kendal, Central Java, the Merangin dam in Merangin, Jambi, and the Lhok Guci irrigation area in West Aceh, Aceh.

In the road and bridge sector, there are 7 KPBU projects in the preparation stage, comprising 384.1 km of toll roads with an investment value of Rp124.02 trillion. These include the Ciranjang-Padalarang and Bandung Intra Urban toll roads, the Pejagan-Cilacap toll road, the Malang-Kepanjen toll road, the Demak-Tuban toll road, the Pluit-Airport (part of the Tomang-Pluit-Airport (elevated) toll road) in Jakarta, and the Cilegon-Anyer toll road.

Additionally, 3 toll road projects totaling 265.5 km and worth Rp91.99 trillion are already in the transaction stage for 2025. These are the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Ciamis, Gilimanuk-Mengwi, and Sentul Selatan-Karawang Barat toll roads.

In the settlement sector, 4 KPBU projects are in the preparation stage, including the Idle Capacity SPAM Pemali Juana in Semarang City, the East Kalimantan Regional SPAM, the East Kalimantan KIKN SPAM and SPAL, and the management of the Sei Gong reservoir in Batam and Rempang, Riau Islands.

Furthermore, 3 projects in the settlement sector are ready for the transaction stage in 2025, namely the SPAM Kota Bitung (North Sulawesi), the Regional SPAM Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara), and the Regional SPAM Sindangheula–Karian Barat (Banten).

In the housing sector, 2 KPBU projects worth Rp1.64 trillion are already in the transaction stage, which include the revitalization of the Pasar Jumat flats-TOD Lebak Bulus (Jakarta) and the construction of the Tambak Wedi flats in Surabaya City (East Java). There is 1 project still in the preparation stage, the Surabaya City flats.
