Sharp Air Purifier Wins iF Design Awards

The increasing market demand for air purifier products has driven Sharp to continuously innovate in order to meet the market needs for air purifier products that not only have the latest features but also a modern appearance.
Sharp Corporation's continuous innovation has been appreciated for the Sharp Purefit FX-S and FP-S Series air purifier products, which have won the iF Design Awards 2024. The award is given for product disciplines that cover physical aspects, technology, furniture, and medical equipment.
The iF Design Awards was first launched in 1953 and is organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH, an international group based in Hannover, Germany, to promote outstanding design by creative individuals worldwide.
In 2024, the iF Design Award recognized amazing designs in nine disciplines such as Product, Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design, Architecture, UX (User Experience), and UI (User Interface), attracting 10,800 participants from 72 countries. Entries are evaluated based on five main criteria including form, idea, function, differentiation, and product impact.
The Sharp Purefit FX-S120Y comes with a stylish and modern design with natural textures that seamlessly blend into interior spaces. Available in off white and charcoal colors, this product is suitable for placement in any room, serving not only as an air purifier but also as a complement to the interior decor.
Yudha, the Product Manager for AC and Air Purifier at PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia, stated in a press release published on Friday (3/04) that this product has been equipped with high-density Ion Plasmacluster technology, which is a one-of-a-kind technology owned by Sharp that can suppress the activity of allergens, pollen, and viruses. Its dual suction structure on the right and left sides of the product enables it to purify the air faster in a large capacity, despite its compact size.
This product is also embedded with Micro HEPA Plus, which can filter particles as small as 0.002 microns with an effectiveness of up to 99 percent. The size of 0.002 microns is much smaller than pet dander and fungal spores, allowing it to filter dust and bacteria more effectively.
It is also equipped with 6 smart sensors that can detect PM 2.5 particles, dust, temperature, humidity, light, and harmful VOCs. This product is also compatible with Sharp's cloud AIoT service, which allows users to schedule operations through their smartphones.
"We are very proud of this award, which proves that our products are very detailed in terms of product development and technology. Not only does it incorporate the latest technology, but the products we present must also be visually appealing and easy to use. This product is suitable for rooms up to 84 m2 with a price of Rp7 million," added Yudha.
